Children’s Nutrition
I help busy mums raise healthy and happier children with real wholesome food, natural medicine and a realistic balanced approach.
Having brought up two children, I know how challenging it can be to encourage them to eat healthily and make good food choices. Like many parents you may be worried your child is not getting all the nutrients needed to fuel their body and mind.
During a one-to-one consultation, we can focus on your child’s needs and goals, taking into account their unique health history, dietary preferences and lifestyle factors. Based on the assessment of any nutritional deficiencies or imbalances you will get a tailored nutrition plan. This will include recommendations for specific foods, supplements, and lifestyle changes that can help improve your child’s health. I will track your child’s progress providing ongoing guidance, support and accountability to help your child achieve their health goals.
We can work together to inspire healthy eating, helping children to understand the long-term benefits of proper nutrition and provide the tools and resources to help them make healthy choices on their own. I’ll share tips and tricks for getting your child excited about healthy meals.

As well as helping with ‘fussy eaters’, during over 14 years working as a nutritional therapist – including 6 years running the Children’s Specialist Clinic at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION) – I have frequently seen and helped children suffering from a wide range of conditions including: allergies; ADHD; asthma; anxiety; mood and behaviour issues; digestive problems; eczema; fatigue; recurring infections; sleep problems and excess weight.
Step by step we can transform your child’s health
STEP 1
Book a complimentary 30-minute health and wellness session where we can explore your child’s health issues, your goals and how we can work together.
STEP 2
I will ask you to complete a child health and nutrition questionnaire and 3-day food diary, which will help me to consider your child’s symptoms, medical history, and family history. This information is key to getting to the root of health issues.
STEP 3
The initial consultation will last for approximately 75 minutes. Most children join for part of the consultation. I’ll find out about their likes/dislikes and introduce practical tools to help make healthy food fun.
In some cases, it can be beneficial to use laboratory tests to pinpoint specific deficiencies or imbalances. The most often used are hair mineral analysis, urine and stool tests to identify metabolic and digestive imbalances. To make testing as easy as possible, the test samples are collected by you at home, using a kit delivered to you direct from the lab, which contains clear instructions.
Once I have a full understanding of your child’s health issues and your ideal outcome, I will compile a targeted eating, supplement, and lifestyle plan. Whilst it’s important to ensure the plan provides a diet that addresses the issues, it’s also vital for it to be easy to follow and sustainable in the long term. I’m very aware it’s not always plain sailing with children and food!
STEP 4
Follow up consultations. We’ll build on your child’s progress, discuss any challenges that you’re experiencing, and the results of any tests will be explained and incorporated in the programme. I will support you throughout your child’s nutritional journey and you will benefit from dietary, lifestyle and supplement adjustments and delicious recipes. Allow 45 minutes per consultation.
GUARANTEE of CONTINUAL SUPPORT – please be assured, once you start this exciting journey you will not be set adrift to cope on your own; I will be available to answer questions and provide guidance through your dedicated client portal.
Aftercare
Once your child has completed their programme you may like to return for maintenance or additional support.

The programme was excellent. Alison has been fantastic, she was very thorough, explained everything really clearly and if I needed advice she was always there. Our daughter, Eva now rarely has symptoms and she’s able to eat more of a varied diet which is fantastic.
