Adaptogens, such as Maca, can be a great addition to your routine, especially if you’re looking for more support with a busy and stressful lifestyle.
Maca is used medicinally for energy levels, stamina, hormonal balance and libido. You can add maca powder to a variety of foods including smoothies, homemade energy balls, granola or porridge. It has a delicious nutty flavour.
Recipe for Maca Hot Chocolate (serves 2):
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 tbsp maca powder
- 2 tbsp agave nectar
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Mix the coconut milk, maca, agave nectar, cacao powder & cinnamon. You can whisk this together by hand or blend in a Nutri Bullet or processor.
- Transfer to a saucepan and gently heat.
